I just wanted to share a member's help to me, a complete stranger 3000 miles away. Several months ago I purchased a Power-pakt. It is a beautiful rod down on one tip 5-6 inches so too short to repair. I posted in the classifieds hoping a member might have an extra tip. Amazingly, a member responded he was currently making a tip for a PPT, and he would be glad to make an extra tip for me. No guarantees or promises of quality, just that he would like to help. Well, last week the tip arrived, and I must say I am amazed. Same thread color, same color and absolutely beautiful professional work. Just a little stiffer, if at all, but I like that, in fact, I love it. So anyhow, I just want to thank Doug in California. I am sure some of you may know him. I am thinking of Randy Law selling beautiful reels at more then fair prices. One member even sent me a mint Phillipson 7.5 ft Peerless with no payment until I decided if I wanted it. Another helped me with pics to sell a rod, unsolicited. Jeff
