I have a Leonard Duracane model #39 that needs to have a guide repaired. Does anyone have any suggestions? I live in Oakland CA.

I would urge you to purchase a book on bamboo rod restoration and purchase an old Montague or South Bend and restore it. Find others of like mind and converse with them on the aspects that trouble you and figure it out and move on to making the repair on your own. Dennis Stone: http://www.stonerodco.com I understand is into restoration work. I'm not sure but I think Greg Hall would be able to assist you as well. But I think that you would do best by investing in yourself and being able to do the work yourself, that is, unless you just plan on selling the rod after
you are done with what ever it is your going to do with it.
