Posts: 1058 04/01/2009 11:22 Rod Maker	Tags : None I'm happy to announce that Calviello & Trucco Rods will become Calviello Rods Co. from next Friday. After 9 years of working and more than 200 rods done, we decided with Jorge my friend, that our journey is finished. Jorge push me along this years to extreme working conditions looking for quality, finish and performance. He took our rods to the limit during his hard fishing test all over the world and I'm very grateful for his dedication and passion, he is a great fisherman and a better friend. I will be working into Calviello Rods new main site for the next weeks, refreshing all the content and working into new tapers and rod Series options. All pending orders will be shipped under Calviello Rods signature. From next Friday up to next Sunday I will be doing a Calviello Rods presentation at Rosario City Argentina and a casting demostration. I will be using 3 demo rods, a 6' 2" #5, a 7' #4 and a 7' 6" #5 2/1 Introductory Series that will be available in our Classifieds board and into my CATABLOG in the next hours at a very good price to celebrate Calviello Rods launching. Posts: 1060 04/02/2009 11:37 Rod Maker	Thank you Jay, Thank you Alistair... I know that it's not the best time to relaunch a company... Seems that the history of rodmakers never change. For all what I read about our masters, their lives were always accompanied with economic crisis, changing markets and many things that did no more than increase their passion for the craft. In my case... the distance and the impossibility to show and explain my work in person always keep me trying to be near showing pictures and new projects, its my only way to be in contact... Now as a one man shop my waist will allow me to make the correct movements at the correct time and also to make my own decisions. Nothing will change... and I will continue hand planning all my rods and trying to add personality into each of them, always persecuting one of my principal foundations "make flyfishing bamboo rods, for fishing".
