Need a snake for Heddon #20 |
Lead | ||
|
I'm starting a restoration on a Heddon #20 and found one of the tip snakes had a broken foot. Sooo.....I'm in need of what looks to be a 2/0 black
snake guide. If memory serves me correctly, they are Perfection guides. (Correct me if I'm wrong). I've got a bunch left over from a couple Granger
restorations, but they have a different profile. If anybody can help me out I'd appreciate it.

Brian,
I may have one for you. It is from an old HI. I am not sure it is a perfection 2/0. I have 3 slightly smaller ones that probably are 2/0 but unfortunately they are all reverse twist. In any event here is the regular twist one that I have:

Thanks Alex, really appreciate the offer, but I've got some off a couple Tonka Prince's I've redone. They are close, but the profile is slightly
different. Height & length are the same, but the side-view profile is different. Don't know if I can describe it well, but looking at the snake from
the side the loop is more open on the Heddon snake, whereas the other guides have a smaller radius & sweep almost straight up into the loop. I'm
sounding picky, I know, but when placed side by side the difference is very noticable.
If anybody has a lone tip section laying around for a 9ft., 2 1/2f Heddon they don't know what to do with, I'd be interested in that also. Never hurts to have spare parts laying around. |

I just finiahed a 9' Heddon 50. I too had to replace a tip area guide. I may have a spare. Let me look when I get home and do some comparing. 99% sure
I've got one.

Shoot me your address. I've got one set aside for you. These apparently came right from the Heddon Factory so they should be right.
