This was opening day in Southeast PA, this is a park in Bethlehem PA at 9 this morning. Water was to muddy to fish so I took pics.

Andre,
Looks like the M......y. Fished it a couple of time in the winter. Nice midge hatches and nicer water upstream. Pretty little winter creek when its not as crowded. Bob |

And I thought my home water was crowded. Thanks for some perspective.

slate river wrote: Bob, yes it is. Actually there is some good winter midge fishing a few hundred years below. I'm guessing your talking about from BP road up to the dam. You should come out and fish with us, we're there every weekend year round but usually on another creek further south.

Looks like a ..real blast.. Andre'.
Knowing you, you'll have far better days ahead, despite what Rolf says. |

andre49 wrote: This brings back some memories. I grew up about five miles from there. I won't discuss some of the things we did at night in that park as a teen but I will recall a short distance upstream were a road crosses the stream and there was a lone caboose in a yard near streamside. Before I was able to drive, I would ride my bicycle down to the road crossing near the caboose in the predawn hours. There was a small light coming from the railroad switch box nearby, I would tie my leader and fly knots by that light. Just as soon as there was enough daylight to see I would be in position and fishing hard. In those days both up stream and down offered plenty of good water. That other stream to the south was a bit outside my territory for a bike ride and after I gained four wheel mobility other streams far to the north (Poconos) seemed more attractive. TC
