Resurrection of the "Golden Salmon" |
Lead | ||
|
Marcelo forgave me,,took mercy,, and restored my "Golden Salmon" to its former glory.....He sent along the last 2 pics of my restored rod....He
worked his magic...I can't wait for it to be in my hands again doing what it was created to do after a brief stop at Len C's ...also a fan of this
incredible craftsmanship......but first pics of the day I first lawn cast it...Then a few from the fateful day ..That rod was the best casting boo I ever had
in my hands...I can still feel the pain of it shattering as I landed my prize,,mixed emotions to say the least......the last 2 pics are the
"Resurrection"............Thank you Marcelo

Beautiful...although I cant help but think you brought a knife to a gun fight, that is one big salmon. That picture of the fly boxes, rod and pumpkins is
worthy of a magazine cover. CJ

I remember when this amazing story was first posted. I have to say that each time I read one of author Dana Lamb's Atlantic salmon adventures, your own
comes to mind. Nice to see that it's come to a satisfying conclusion for all.

Dear Paul: Your welcome my friend, you know that is also a very important rod for me. I really love to take challenges, and the one you took was the best that
any of my rods live ever. I hope you like your "new rod", and we have to cross our fingers and wish that another big fresh Atlantic Salmon rise to
your fly. When it happens... please, remember to put it a little more on your masterpiece Salmon reel, for sure he will help "The Golden Salmon" to
complete the job. At that time we will own two wonderful pictures one with the desire done but incomplete and other with the full job done. The best for you
and your new rod my friend. I'll be waiting for new pictures.

Rod Maker (Marcelo) & reelmaker (Paul),
Because you are both at the head of what is class in what you make, it's appropriate--and of course very seasonal--that you should collaborate in this resurrection of fine tackle. Congratulations to you both. Bill |

Marcelo - Amazing job and the intermediate wraps are both beautiful and I bet add strength....well done ! Congrats Paul on getting your baby back Something to consider: Be willing to share photos, information and the knowledge you have about your collection with anyone that has an interest in learning...........also share your knowledge to answer questions that others may have about items in their collections.........doing this will make you feel good and benefits this community ..................after all, what good is having knowledge that isn't shared.
