I've had a craving something fierce for an Alaskan IPA or EPA and there are no distributors in Minnesota

We have tons of it in Seattle....every stop & rob, 7/11 and grocery store carries it. However, with all the microbreweries in this area, it is considered
more of a "high-volume" type of brew.

There seems to be plenty of it in Oregon, even over here on the rural, dry side of the state. I have seen it for sale in Idaho as well. It is good stuff.

Mark, whats your favorite of the Alaskan Ales? Have you ever tried 3 Bells Brewery Ales, Michigan? One of my favorites.
I like the Amber Ale and the Two Hearted Ale. http://www.bellsbeer.com/index.php/home Tim

I love the micro brew's. I like Alaskan Pale Ale. Can't seem to find it here in Santa Fe, but we do get allot of others. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is popular, but to sharp and bitter for my taste. I have visited the Alaska Brewery in Juneau. It's located in an industrial park of all places. You think it would be located in a scenic setting along a mountain stream.........not so. The Alaska Brewery lobby has the usual display of tourist t-shirts and mugs, but the bar is the place to be. You get the opportunity to taste all the brews, as they have taps of all the current brews there for the tasting, (try the smokey stout). On fishing trips to Northern California's Klamath, Trinity and Smith River, I seem to find my way to the Humboldt Brewery, Lost Cost Brewery and the Etna Brewery. Here in Santa Fe, we have the Santa Fe Brewing Company..........Good stuff. KERM IT |

Turtle, if you haven't tried one before buy a six pack of Dales Pale Ale.....a colorado brew. I can't buy it here in Kansas, but it only comes in a can
and is really a great beer.
