I'd be very grateful to hear from anyone who owns or has fished one of Tim Zietak's quads. I'm toying with the idea of a 7'6" 4-wt and am
interested in other folks' opinions on the rods. Thanks in advance.

A long time ago I got a 7ft 4wt ferruled blank from Tim that I finished out. Still have the rod. Beautifully built and a great caster if you like the feel of
quads. Has not been fished. Too many rods not enough time to fish them all. Tim is a great builder.
Edit: The rod is available at a good price.

I own and fish a Zietak 7'9" 5wt. I can't say that it is my "go to" rod, but when I need one with a lot of power and a delicate
presentation-- it's the one I pull off the rack. The workmanship is fantastic and as I said, it has power! You won't be disappointed in
purchasing/owning one. Tim's a great guy to speak to and aims to please.

I own an 8-1/2 F 3/2 that's cast a 5, Its a fantastic Flyrod, light in hand ,Strong backbone when needed And the workmanship, Unbelievable . . I'm
taking very good care of this one ,its going to be one of my collector piece's. Just love it.

I own one of his Salmon Hollowbuilt quads for 8 wt - it is a fine rod with a whole lot of power. Hopefully I will one day actually use it for Atlantic Salmon.
I also have one of his 81/2' 3pce Payne 204 copies built from a blank by SansPereil on this board - another very good blank. |

I have a 7'6" 2/2 quad that I bought from Tim in 2002 and fish it all the time with a wf4f line.... you won't be disappointed. In fact the slate
drake is sitting on the handle in the picture to the left !
