hardy bamboo fly rod question |

I recently acquired a vintage hardy bamboo fly rod and I'm having a tough time reading the script. can anybody help figure out what it says. this rod is
in exceptional condition. it's stamped e45230. it's a3 piece with extra tip 9'. ultimately I'd like to get a value. thanks steve

You need 6 photos - one of each flat - to enable us to read the script! (And bigger, if possible)

Your rod is from 1938, by the number, so a look on here may give you a hint, or you may recognise the name Let us know. Brian |

New pics still not very clear - as far as I can make out it says "The Fraser Economy Rod".....which isn't listed in JL Hardy's book, or my
'37 Catalogue...may be a 'special'. In which case a telephone call or email to Hardy themselves may find an answer in the archives...or not. It may
be someone's name, which seems likely...

It is the Fraser economy by Hardy. Seen it before. No clue on it's value. Sorry
