Have been reading some of my "wet fly" books and noticed that quite a few authors quite often mention their successes and preference in using a
Peacock & Black spider (black thread, bronze peacock herl & black hen hackle) which, naturally got me tying up a "few" more P & B
spiders. Also got me wondering about substituting a black & white partridge hackle for the hen hackle ... and also using natural (green) peacock instead
of the bronze herl for an alternate / variation. (Note - I add a gold wire ribbing for added durability).
Wonder if others like the peacock & black / peacock & partridge spiders for regular use ?

PS - May have to tie a few with a BH behind the hackles, just so the "elderly gentleman" (?) has another fly to pilfer ! :>)
