Does anyone here know where I could purchase ferrules for a Quad Rod? I would like to use the square ended ferrules if I can find them rather than the regular
round ferrule type. You may answer here or drop me a email at regoode@sugarkanerods.com Any help would be very
much appreciated..Thank You

I believe Jeff Wagner offers a set of swaging tools for squaring round ferrules. Check his website You can get there by GOOGLING JD Wagner Bamboo Flyrods.

I spoke with them yesterday and they are waiting for a new batch of the quad broaches. Should be in about a week from now. Other than broaching them, there is not a commercial source of quad ferrules available to my knowledge. Cheers, Jay |

Tony Larson makes ferrules with four slotted tabs but he may be limited in size selections

Flyman,
Check w/CSE Baily woods. He sells quad ferrules that have 4 slits in them for quads. That way it is sq.on end and you just put your wrap over it. Some quad builders use this system. |

Anyone on the board that wants a set of quad ferrules can contact me. I'll square them just like I use on my own rods. They'll look just like any
Carlson or Edward you have seen. Price is $100 a set. You have to give me some rod dimensions so that I can make the correct size.

If you can afford them buy two sets of broaches. One set you round off The other you leave untouched Phil

The old Edwards quad ferrules had a nasty tendency to split along the edges due to work hardening. So if you intend to "square" your own watch
out... you could end up causing more problems than you solve.

I should note that I have a set of ferrules from Tim and they are really lovely. I will be posting some pics of the (finally) finished rod. Tim, I didn't
know if you were making them generally available or not, so I didn't want to put you on the spot
