Actually, this is about two trips. Last Tuesday I shortened my usual trip to the AuSable in Michigan for the sulfer hatch. Seven days were enough for me...the
weather was looking sour, the trouting deteriorating and not looking to improve in the short term. I bailed. The upside of that trip is that I bumped in to a
couple of the regualars here. That was completely unexpected and turned out to be an opportunity to make a personal as well as professional aquaintance.
Being reluctant to go back to work in spite of the shortened Michigan trip, I laid out. Fly fishermen being regarded as n'erdowells, I was living up to the reputation but feeling a little guilty for being a complete deadbeat. Sweetie rescued me with a mission. She needed to go to the Blue Ridge for business. Suddenly I was transformed from deadbeat to chauffeur....a minor step up the social scale, but I'll take whatever advancements life offers.
So... being an opportunist, I went here:
...and caught some of these:
I'm a happy camper.
