Posts: 291 06/03/2009 10:13	Tags : None I have a Wright McGill - Granger Victory in the shop to have the guides replaced, the ferrules reset and reset a loose reelseat. None of this work presents any problems. The butt, mid and one tip are wrapped with orange and black jasper thread. One of the tips is wrapped with brown thread. The question is this. Did Granger wrap tips with two different thread colors or has this rod got tips from two different rods? I suspect the tips are from two different rods. The plan right now is to wrap both tips with the jasper unless there is a compelling reason to do otherwise. Thanks in advance for any help, fishbum

Posts: 716 06/03/2009 11:22	Hi Fishbum, Sounds like this one may have mix-and-match-parts. The tip with brown thread is probably from a different rod, or it could be that tip was re-wrapped and the wrapper did not have the jasper thread - that stuff was hard to find for about 30 years. To answer your question, though, Granger and Wright & McGill wrapped all sections of a rod exactly the same. The New Divine Rods
