Gents: Does the toxicity factor with URAC apply only when gluing up, or is there also an issue with the dried URAC when sanding?

no and no. formaldehyde is the big scary chemical so some use gloves when gluing up but there is not enough in the new formulation to worry about unless you
are one of those people who run from one 'CNN' scare story to another. not a factor when cured other than normal dust precautions

John Pickard gave a talk last year at Grayling about shop safety focusing on this issue. He had some real bad health problems resulting from breathing the fumes when heat setting it. The fumes in a confined space are a real issue here. It took them a long time to figure out what causied his health issues. A real medical mystery episode. Finally they got things figured out and his health is back to normal after a scary ordeal. Chris |

Chris, The glue did not cause the problems I had, it was from heat curing Nelsonite , nasty stuff , if you have any get rid of it , breathing the fumes just
about killed me, I did not have any problems with the urac
