Hi Lewis, and welcome aboard. Though I'm not in the same state, I'm not too far away either. I'm in Winnsboro, Louisiana -- near Monroe. I pass
through SW Arkansas regularly headed to the Lower Mountain Fork River. Let me know how I may help you.

Hi Harry and thanks for the warm welcome. I live about 30 miles east of the Lower Mountainfork (Dequeen Ar). I`ve read CaneRod ALOT and learned to build rods
mostly from that site. I believe I have chatted with you a time or two on spillway creek. I had no idea I was talking to the Guru of bamboo! I would like very
much to get together sometime and chew the fat about this rod building venture. give me a call next time you dicide to fish the Fork.712 215 0487.

Lewis,
Yep, I pass right through DeQueen every time I head that way. Usually stop at the little Dairy place to get some needed refreshments for the trip. No guru here, but I do love to fish the LMF. Tell Jesse and Sid hello for me if you see them before I do. Give me a call sometime and we'll let the shavings fly. All my contact info is on the website links below. Harry |

Hi Lewis,
I'm in North Central Arkansas, but used to live fairly close to your neck of the woods. Harry and I have fished the Lower Mountain Fork together many times. I used to live in Poteau, Oklahoma, just about 80 miles north of the Lower Mountain Fork. Now my shop and my home are in Mountain Home, AR... Really sucks here. From my shop, I'm 15 minutes from the White River and 15 minutes from the North Fork... hard to get much work done that way! Come by and see me if you get up this way.

This is great!!! Ive been reading your post on canerod ,along with Harry`s. As I told him, thats were I got most of my info on building rods. And alot of
support from Sid @ beavers bend and Jessi too! I had no idea that ther were so many builders and I didnt know that you and Harry lived so close! I fish the
Mountain Fork often, but my brother has been talking about coming up your way this summer to fish the Little Red, you can bet,We`ll drop by. If you head down
this way , give me a call and we`ll SLING some STRING on the Fork. 712-215-0487 Lewis

Lewis,
I grew up in the NW part of the state, near Hog Eye (about 20 miles from Fayetteville). I had friends in college (U of A - Go Hogs!!!) from Dequeen, but never ventured to your neck of the woods. I lived on the headwaters of the Illinois River that runs from NW Arkansas into NE Oklahoma. Used to catch lots of perch and bass on that little creek. Welcome to the Forum, and have fun with the rod building gig!! . . . Rex TheMontyMan |

Lewis--
It really is a small world--I graduated high school at DeQueen in 1981 and my father lives over a bit north of Provo. I'd really like to see your rods the next time I'm back home.
