OK, a serious question then -- Ginger or Mary Ann?
(I'd settle for Mrs. Howell at this point.)

All the late talk about old and new, dt and wf, and so on reminds me of an article I read a while back about a small (actually, very small) subset of golfers
who insist on playing the game with wooden handled clubs (handmade) and handmade balls not engineered to fly to the moon. They play on courses that can be
charitably described as sheep pastures. And they love it. The mainstream golfing world looks upon them as the family oddballs. Imagine that. One guy, when
interviewed, did not pontificate on this being a "better" or "purer" form of golf. He simply said that it was a lot more fun. Sound
familiar? Anyway, gotta love those golfers because they constitute a large group of people not out there cluttering up trout streams.

When I bought a bamboo rod, my wife said she needed one too. She said, "I don't want to be standing there with graphite, while
you're looking cool with bamboo." I told her that most other fly anglers would think that anyone fishing bamboo was old, cracked, or retro.....

For the unaware, Spruce G is on the BlackHills list. Obviously. Best to run silent.

How about -- wooden vs aluminum bats? Imagine The Splinter with a trampoline-action aluminum bat. Imagine what we've missed.

Hi Guys, When people find out I build bamboo rods the first question is, " Well, what's better about them?" The first thing I say is,
"Ummmm." 'Cause what do I say? I like them better? The same is true of guys who find out I build Quads, " Well, what's better about
them?" "Uhhh....they're square?" I like this stuff ,that's all folks. Jay Edwards
