Hi Folks: Just wondering if anyone knew the size of the screw that is used to attach the line guard to the reel? Someone (OK, it was me) buggered the screwhead
when converting to left hand wind. Wow, that screwhead is soft... Thanks, Paul

I don't know for sure but it could be a small BA series thread.
http://www.sizes.com/tools/thread_BA.htm Also the newer reels maybe be metric. |

Bill Archeleta, from Archeleta reel works, can send you a screw. I had a two screw lineguard where I buggered the screws and he fixed it. Now, I'm ashamed
to say that I've got a one screw lineguard Marquis with a messed up head on screw. I can't believe how shallow and soft the heads of those screws are!
If they haven't been turned since reel was new, they can really get stuck....

You should be able to get a replacement from Highfields: http://www.highfields.cowichanweb.com/repairs.shtml

I was told by a Hardy rep at the Detroit show that they may need to look at the reel because the screw changed over the years. Please let us know what you
learn.
