Posts: 130 06/23/2009 21:00	Tags : None I need to dispose of a 100+ collection of Spinning-SW-Bait Casting Reels and I don't have a clue as to the value of these things. Lots of Penn SW reels, Zebco's, DAM, Mitchell and a few Shakespeare, South Bend, Ocean City. I have a LOT of Mitchell/ABU's and other spinning reels and need to get some ball park values. Many are tagged with 5 year old prices that I'd be happy to sell for 1/2 the tagged price. I was pleasantly surprised to see an occasional Penn SW reel sell for major bucks on ebay as I've got a couple dozen of those I want to sell including some modified reels with aluminum side plate kits installed on some of them. Anyway, your recommendation on a good price guide would be appreciated.

Posts: 485 06/28/2009 13:54 Sic transit piscatoria Clark's	Ben Wright's "Wright Price Guide for the Reel Man" is considered the bible for spinning reel collectors. Stu Lawson published a series of "Lawson's Price Guides" to fishing reels, the latest I think was 2004. Both can be found on the ORCA web site. -- Dr. Todd
