Thanks to Fisherman911, I have my cork reel seat and handle. I was originally going to take the top and mid from a Heddon Black Beauty and make a 6' midge
rod out of it since the butt section is shot and not repairable. But I also have a SB 359 with 2 tips that I'm not currently fishing. I was surprised to
see that the SB tip and mid made for a better casting midge rod when attaching some line to either setup and casting on the lawn. So I'm looking for a
guide spacing chart for a banty made from the mid and tip of the SB 359 as well as guide sizes. I'm not sure whether I'll use the old guides from the
rod as they were not very many on the rod to begin with and I will want to add a few additional guides. Also, I have the original agate stripper but it appears
to be a very narrow diameter(about 5/32 ID). Have any of you use this for a modern line?
Sorry for sounding like such a novice. The last time I refinished a bamboo rod was about 6 or 7 years ago when I was really into restoring. I just enjoyed fishing what I had made but now getting the itch to start on a project again.
Thanks,
Bruce C
