hello everyone. thanks for being here. i have just stumbled upon this vast weath of knowledge, and am glad i did. i am new to fly fishing (i am 30 years of
age and picked up my first fly rod last season. scince then i have become intoxicated with the art. starting the season out fresh i had purchased a sage
trout rod and love it. hav ebeen researching for months now and have been tying my own flies to boot! i came across a bamboo flyrod last year , and
proceeded to purchase it. i fell in love with the craftsmanship of her and started researching the art of making split cane rods. after many pages read and
pictures viewed i decided i woul like to accumulate the tools to tyr my hand at building myself a rod. but that is a whole other story.
i am here now and was wondering wether or not to try and repair and refinish my cane rod. as far as i know the rod i have is a HEDDON #8 9-1/2' 3f . but need some work it is missing two of its snake guides on the second section. and the guides have slight rust on them. i will post pics in case anyone would like to chime in on this subject ....
thanks for listening!
