Do you use a personal picture for your desk top? |

Maybe from a memorable trip or location. I use pictures from my trips west and my home waters as well as good landscapes that I take.

The trout takes the fly, the line tightens and it's like I was blind, but now I
see.

No, we have a community computer in that the whole family uses it. Both of my teenage daughters have digital cameras and usually the desk tops revolve around a
photo they took. Most often it's one they've taken of the dog.

I use a picture of my wife that I took when we were dating and went to a sports car race in Wisconsin. The Goodyear cap NEVER looked so good !

mr flymph wrote:That is actually my fishing buddy. I had a coworker photoshop the bear in for grins. I also took a picture from across the river of him with the waders down spraying the flowers (from the back of course) Why do guys always act like 8th graders when on an extended fishing trip. Thanks for the compliments on the pictures. Landscapes of mountains and rivers are my favorite subject matter. Sometimes I get to go to them and take pictures so I can remember the times away from civilization.

I used this one for a few years too. Kept me going through the winter until I could get back.

I alternate between my own and photos of things I enjoy cribbed from the Internet--Aston Martins, W.O. Bentleys, LeMans racers, vintage Orvis advertising
art and rods. This is current, which I took yesterday in a mountain top spagnum bog:

I just returned from 3 days fishing DePuy Spring Creek near Livingston, MT. We were lucky to combine three days of great weather with the
emergence of the PMD's. Caught several 15"-19" rainbows, browns and a cuttthroat on #18-#20 PMD dries---emergers fished dry, duns and spinners.
With the Absaroka Range off in the distant and the Gallatin Range over your shoulder you'd be hard pressed to find a more idyllic setting than Depuy's. Here's my current desktop pic taken Tues. July 1st...the pair of Tundra swans in the pic have two babies floating around with them:

Great pitcher plants and sundew Greg. Carnivorous plants are cool.
As to the question, like Greg, sometimes I use a personal pic and sometimes I use ones I've gotten in emails or seen on websites. |
