Any thoughts on Joe Janciuras reel that is offered in the Orvis 'Gifts for Anglers' catalog ?

Beautiful reel and, I'm sure, well made but for 5K I would rather buy one of the original Edward vom Hofe's. Just my opinion. |

I got my Orvis catalog yesterday and I was struck with the same thought ~~ incredibly beautiful, incredibly expensive.

The EVH original of this model was trading at $15,000 five years ago and there were only about three of them at that time known to exist.Orvis is pricing 1/3 of an original thanks to the market place. Don |
