Who makes HB Quads for under $2000? I only know of Chris Raine/Dunsmuir rods.

I have an 8' 2/2 6wt h-b rod by Bill that I've fished extensively for trout, shad and Erie tribs steelhead. It has held up perfectly and still looks
nearly new.

jt - even if you asked the question, who builds the best hollow quads (period) or the best quads (regardless of price), among the very top would be Bill Taylor

titillating. Even though my cane consultant, who likes big stuff, is fascinated with a couple of Bill's longer 6wts, I personally have a fatal predilection
for his smaller sticks, which are to die for.
Bill ffishes, and lives within a few hundred yards of the Yellow Breeches, a locally famous spring creek; and his designs reflect that association. For what it's worth, one of his fancy commemorative rods graced the cover of Marty's catalog. Bob Selb, one of the finest and trustworthiest tackle dealers represents Bill in his limited portfolio of makers. A bonus - for your budget, you can change your purchase criteria to which 2 best hollow quads might you want.
