For the last 29 years have hailed from the Dallas, TX area, but soon to re-locate (retire) to Salem, OR to spend the rest of my useful life with my two
grandkids (and daughter and son-in-law). Sort of a half-hearted bamboo rod nut and part-time restorationist. You see, I also like neat guns (older
Smith's, Colts, Winchesters, Elsie's, Foxes, Belgian Brownings, etc.), and that can seriously cut into one's available bamboo money. Many of you
may have seen or even possess one of my restorations. If so, I hope it is serving you well. I don't advertise much, because I am basically lazy and
don't want the extra work. However, when the spirit moves me I can really get in to the restoration thing, big time. Former Naval Aviator (retired
reserve) and current corporate pilot for a major retailer in the Dallas area, I have seen every corner of this great land and much of the world. Time now to
stop and smell the roses. Some of my forum friends who are in the local area are: Sanspareil, Grayghost, Canenut, Zenkoanhead, et al.

, but I hope you still have
more time left here in Dallas so we can enjoy and share each others interests and hobbies. I don't know what I'm going to do not having you around to
keep me out of trouble in our hobbies. But I wanted you to know that your craftsmanship and knowledge in the restoration and authentication of bamboo rods is
above reproach along with your attention to details. Don't let this go to your head otherwise you'll turn into a "busy man"
