What's your opinion on the Loop Classic Reels (trout models)? I've heard very good comments on the Salmon reels.

I have the largest salmon reel and it is an excellent reel for fishing. The click is a little bit on the loud side for my taste.
It is of course a discussion if it is a real classic compared to similarly styled handmade reels. |

I have the 8/10 on the way. I got to play with the three sizes at the '06 Calgary Expo with Frank Blanchet and i instantly fell in love with them. Been
waiting to get one ever since. Smooth is the word and the clicker is beautiful to the ears. Huge drag if you need that and "feels" classicy PS Sorry Canebum. This is,, as usual,, in relation to the salmon sized reels though i see this as being of interest for the trout model as well.

I've talked to quite a few people who own one and to a man the biggest complaint is the handle. There's something about a knurled metal handle on a
classic reel that just doesn't seem right.

i happen to have the loop classic trout reel in red (4,5,6), i think it's a great reel for the money , i use mine on a tom morgan rod on the bow , it
balances the rod nice, i would like to put a nice black handle on it someday , i like mostly how the reel is ported ,
my vote ,fine reel for the price |

I've got a salmon size. Nice reel. The clicker went completely silent the first time I used it. Had to be returned to LOOP (I like the loud
sound
) After that it performed OK for a year. But lately
the clicker has been sort of "coming and going"- never completely silent though.
