I'll plan on attending. Do you need formal confirmation or can we just show up?

Excellent. My wife said I can't bring my checkbook. I assured her he has a seven yr waiting list.

Maybe we should put together a car pool from Central Mass.

It's about an hour & a quarter drive. Not a bad idea.

FishinCane... I PM'd you on this as well, but just in
case you don't get the message, or for anyone else that reads this and may know.....
By the way, I had contacted Per via email and he had indicated that he was fine with it being recorded. I can forward the email if needed.
Thanks,
Gregg

I just wanted to refresh this thread as the presentation is two weeks away. As stated above, this event is free, open to everyone and our club encourages all
that can to attend. I recently had the great fortune of making Per's acquaintance and really look forward to his presentation. Many people will be bringing
along their new and old bamboo rods along with vintage reels to show and discuss. It should make for a nice winter evening and perhaps a nice buildup prior to
the Super Boo event.

Dan, perhaps you'd consider making the gathering of rods an annual event. SuperBoo, which I attended last year, is still a heck of a drive, even from
central Massachusetts. Perhaps we could create a satellite gathering?!!

Pcq,
The Berkshire Fly Fisher's Club does hold Bamboo Night as an annual event. It is usually held at the Pittsfield High School Gymnasium and is a nice get together where we are able to cast one another's beauties and crank some nice reels. We were looking to do the same this year until we had the great fortune of Per Brandin accepting our invitation to give a presentation. I think this can be developed into a great event, but I would not want to interfere in any way with Super Boo. Over this past year the Berkshire Fly Fisher's Club has really taken steps to bring great guest speakers and events for our members and the public. Perhaps for next winter we can create a worthwhile presentation/casting event that compliments Super Boo.

If any of you from this board are planning on attending, feel free to bring along you bamboo for a little "show and tell" after the meeting (sorry-
not enough room for casting).

I look forward to meeting all of those who will be at the presentation this evening. A good number of us should have rods and reels to look at so feel free to
up the anty. Usually after each meeting we head downstairs in the same building to a brew pub for a burger and a beer, could be a dinner alternative for those
attending. Tonight should be a nice get together to help beat back the winter blues.

Thanks to Per Brandin for an excellent presentation. I think it is safe to say that everyone there enjoyed it and learned a lot. I know I did.
Also, kudos and thumbs up to the folks who made it happen. AgMD |

Mr.Brandin gave an excellent presentation last night. We had a good tern out for an evening that was threatening to snow. I saw some new faces in the crowd and
hopefully everyone that made the trip was thoroughly pleased with our offerings. Please feel free to view our website for future interesting speakers and
events.
