Without a photograph I told him the rod was probably Japanese, worth around $100, made in the 50s and probably wasn't a good caster. Other comments?
Thank you, Joe

Sakura bamboo rod |

Dear Cane Heads,
"We have a member with a brand new (or rather, a never been used..still has
plastic wrap around handle) Sakura Brand bamboo fly rod in it's original wooden case. It includes 1 butt section, 2 middles and 2 tips.
He's wanting to donate it and is looking for an approximate value."
Without a photograph I told him the rod was probably Japanese, worth around $100, made in the 50s and probably wasn't a good caster. Other comments? Thank you, Joe |

HIM for your sleepless nights and wasted hours.
5 - 7 - 5 ? ? ? ? ? ? ? How? Can not. I propose a haiku contest. It can be on anything we discuss in this forum.
If none can master Dr. Todd, he wins a genuine abominable unused British fly reel with authentic plastic guts made by you know who. If by popular acclaim Dr. Todd is bested, I offer an "authentic" Atlantic salmon fly made by "Catskill Guides in Winter." {Honest,
that's what the man said, really.} Or, I may have some other piscatorial gem to offer -- unused of course.
