Hi guys,
I am sure this is a "standard" fix for those who know. But this is a repair I just doubt whether I should take on myself. As noted above the rod is an 8 1/2 ft. 115. The rod is in almost new condition. However, the first time I got it in i could not resist running out and trying it out. First cast the mid sections snapped right at the top ferrule where it is pinned.
Any suggestions? I would really appreciate some thoughts on the fix and also some reccomendations on someone to fix it? Don't be bashful, if you are in the business of rod repairs I would love to here from you? My main concern is getting the rod to look like it did before, mostly the new wraps that will be needed. I have done this before but do not believe I could replicate the wrap as it is now?
Also, any suggestions as to the fishability of the rod? Guys who have used them, line weights etc.?
Thanks,
Barron Gann
