Haven't tried the ones you cited, Ken, but can recommend Cabela's Dry+ waist-highs for abt $100, which appear to meet your criteria. Have used them
for 3-4 years and find them entirely satisfactory.

Ken; I agree with Bob. Then, again, what would shipping and import duty run you?

I have Crystal Creek Wading Pant by Cloudveil I paid under
$200 and these are the best waders I've used.
I'm so impressed by these, I'm planning to retire my Patagonia and order Hellroaring for salt. |

I use a pair of Bailey's Wading Pants, and am as happy with them as I am there full length zipper model.

Thanks Guys - will keep an eye on things through the summer but I really could use a pair of decent breathable waist (or better still breathable thigh) waders
that I can wear with my boots - I cannot get on with booted waders on the freestone rivers I fish.
what would shipping and import duty run you?It is not pleasant ........ and the saving does not make it worth the risk of not buying locally ... Waders @ $100 + 25 (Shipping) = 125 plus 12.50 (Import Duty) = 137.50 + 16.00 (Clearance Fee) = 153.50 + 26.86 (VAT) = 180.36 |

Yeah, I had a feeling the add-on costs of a US product would be stiff. O'kay, do this. Pop over on a "business" trip, buy a pair here and use
them here then stuff 'em in the dirty laundry bag for the trip home. If you turn them inside out the odor should keep Customs from even wanting to ask
about the item.

Sir Ken:
I've purchased and used a pair of breathable waist high, stocking foot "Guide Pants" by Hodgman for less than $100. Very nice and comfortable. No complaints. And I love leaving the suspenders (braces?) at home! IIRC, I also purchased them through Cabela's. Best to you, Scott

I'd like waist high breathables in a boot foot. I haven't seen any in my limited collection of catalogs. Any suggestions?

I have the same pair as Flyman. They're very acceptable and are on their fourth year of fairly hard use with no problems at all.
