The 4th Annual Cuttie-thon!
This unconventional marathon, the Cuttie-thon is a fund-raising event for the Cuttie-thon Foundation organized & headed by Zac Sexton. The Foundation
donates proceeds to the Yellowstone National Park fisheries department to help save Yellowstone Cutthroat, the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes in
Denver and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
This year the Cuttie-Thon will be held at the Grey's River near Alpine, Wyoming (SW of Jackson) on August 9th and participants will fish for 27-30 miles.
The Cuttie-Thon will take an estimated 30 hours to complete start to finish. Participants completing the full length non-stop Cuttie-thon will be limited to
around seven anglers, to reduce impacts to stream banks and substrate. There will also be two relay teams, each with a maximum of six anglers fishing smaller
segments as well.
Several gear and food sponsors have donated some great stuff in the past years and even more have joined in the cause this year. Also a lot of us will be armed with bamboo rods as both Zac and myself are amateur rod-makers.
Please check out http://cuttiethon.org for more complete information on this years
Cuttie-thon as well as past years events and how you can help out or donate.
Feel free to comment or email questions to Zac, zwaterwriter@yahoo.com or myself mikepeck48@hotmail.com.
Thank you for your interest,
Mike
