I have been a member of this board for a little over 6 months now. I dont post as often as I would like to but I figured this post is a must. As some of you
all know I am from WV and at the ripe age of 17. I have been fly fishing for a little over 2 years. I have been very fortunate to live in a state that offers
many chances to chase trout with the fly. Our states only true native trout would be the brook trout and over this past 4th of July weekend I caught and landed
the biggest brook trout of my life. Seldom do you find a true native brookie over 12 in. here in WV. He was 14 in. and came up to a foam stimulator. The cool
thing about this trout is it came from a stream that was once impaired. It held hardly any fish in it due to the acidification in the headwaters. Thanks to the
efforts of my TU chapter the stream now hold fish that reproduce. Due to the limestone fines and stream work that my chapter pays for and volunteers for I was
able to land this fish that was truly a once in a lifetime fish for WV. Well here is my fish and I hope you all enjoy.
And Another
The Money Shot
Thanks and I hope you enjoy,
Nathan
