Hi guys
Just finished up these two. The first is a 6'3" 3 piece 2 tip built on a Cattanach taper. Was pretty tricky gluing up the fine tips and making the 8/64 ferrule. Casts a 2 weight double taper cortland sylk line beautifully

Very nice indeed Nick.I particularly like the Orvis style grip on the Cattanach tapered rod.You just can't go wrong with using them on short, light
rods.Cheers.......Will

Not a fly rod.. but bamboo none the less and I am quite proud of it. This is a just completed 6' medium action baitcasting rod with waxed Blackwood
accents, Mildrum guides, REC modified reel seat, agate butt guide, and silk whippings. The handle has a pronounced cork 'trigger' to aid in casting.
The reel is a Hardy Jock Scott circa 1953. Larger images can be seen on my web portfolio at www.mhcbamboorods.com Regards, Malcolm

Here are my #008 and #009. The first is a modified Garrison 221e Hollow built powell style. The second is a Dickerson 8014. Both rods were built for a trip
to Canada I just returned from. These were my first efforts with flamed rods, clear wraps, hollow building, wrapped ferrules, and color preserver. Both rods
cast well and fish well but I prefer the hollow built due to blind casting to Musky all day doesn't produce a lot of fish. It was much easier on the arm.
I will post a quick trip report as soon as I get those pics.

Well, almost finished this one, and with my tendancy to forget to take pictures, I thought I'd send thise teaser (I call it that because I sent it to the
soon to be recipient of the rod to kind of tease him with just a little taste). This rod is being made for one of our board members, who has owned my rods
before. It's a 3 piece 6 footer wrapped in red with gold tipping and red intermediates. The intermediates on the butt and mid sections have been put on
since I last had the camera at the shop, but I set them so that the end of the signature wraps measures 11" and the intermediates from there to the
stripper are on one inch centers... just so he can measure his fish quickly and return those little brookies back to the wild! At first I was hesitant about
the gold tipping on the red wraps, translucent, but once they were on the rod, they look great. This is one of those that I'll take very good pictures of
to put on my website... as for how it fishes? Well, it casts great with guides taped in place, and once it's delivered, I'll let the new owner let us
know how he thinks it fishes.

Hello all. First I want to thank everyone that has taken the time to reply to my posts, the information and encouragement I have found on this site is invaluable. Here are a couple of pictures of my first bamboo rod. Its a 7ft 4wt "Sir D" flamed. I turned the Walnut reel seat "Drill Press, Powerfibers Article" The grip is a rattan wrapped, with black silk inset. Thread is silk highland green with black trip. Black guides. I also made the reel seat rings from 3/4 inch copper pipe This is bamboo on a Budget. Sorry for the poor picture quality.

heavy flame treatment 7'6/4wt, close to a Payne 97 with a little extra, added into the butt and mid sections a little lighter in the tip and a little
longer.
it was a gift from a son to his Dad, he wanted an inscription added to a flat with his name. Antique gold gossamer/black tip, Snakebrand and Bellinger hardware, blued.
