Actually, Pink, although she only wore a bathing suit, she shouldn't have been, if you know what I mean. She definitely wouldn't have looked as good as
you in a black dress.
As an aside, she fished down past my son, and he said the dog liked him. Go figure. gofish |

Some years ago I was fishing the FF only section of the Swift River in Mass which is
usually a pretty crowded stretch of water. It was mid summer, hot as blazes and the water was very low but as it comes
from the bottom release of a dam, plenty cold. It was providing that nice air-conditioning effect over the stream.

On a day in the 70s (decade not temperature) I was fishing Barn Hole #1 on the Madison, in Yellowstone Park, in the late fall. The temperature stood unmoving in the teens. Ice formed in the guides, hypothermia was imminent, fishing was so slow that it also was likely freezing. Suddenly a spectral person in waders appeared just downstream of me, wearing a stocking cap and layer upon layer of insulation, and, with each cast, resembling an apocalyptic figure with sickle come to claim me. I retreated numb and afraid to the car, parked in the lot overlooking the river, cranked on the engine and the heater, and after fifteen minutes felt my blood begin to circulate again. The Grim Fisher was still casting, with even greater determination. I shivered. Then the sickle/rod bowed and TGF was fast to a very large fish. When it was brought to net and released, TGF looked in my direction and smiled. The feat deserved acknowledgement and applause. Accordingly, though reluctant and chickenhearted, I climbed out of the sanctuary of my car back into the world of ice. "Good fish!" I called out, using our sport's standard high compliment. "Thanks," she said, for the voice was unmistakably a woman's. The image has never left me. Something of vast importance was surely meant to be conveyed by it although I've never figured out exactly what. It was my more wintry version of Bob's bikini vision. Such things, you see, happen to old fishermen. And they will happen to you, too, if you keep at this this stuff long enough. Maybe we both should ask Pink for an interpretation.

Back in the 70's--again the decade, not the temperature--when I was learning to downhill ski in the Sierras, spring routinely brought out the best of both
Bill's and Bob's fantasies. You see it was then when the "bikini bunnies" hit the slopes.
One lady in particular was memorable, to be sure. She was over six feet tall and fit her outfit...well...real well, in fact. She quickly gathered a posse of followers, not-so-discreetly trailing her wherever she skied on the mountain. It was very apparent, they were waiting for her to take a tumble...'er fall...so they could gallantly offer their "assistance". Well, she skied on and on and on...all afternoon...and never came close to falling while her band of dedicated followers panted in her wake. Her smile said it all. Oh to be 24 and foolish again! (Instead of 59 and foolish, of course.) Regards, Flyman

"70's heck, we were skiing in swim suits in the '50's at Winter Park and Evergreen, boys and girls.
Unfortunately, a way to get a really nasty sunburn, but then, at 19, who cares? gofish |

The remarkable fact that has come to light so far in this poll is not the M/F ratio but the low number of respondents. Does this mean that there is only a tiny
core of forum participants or that this topic is so patently obvious that few bother to post? tiptop

Excellent point. With 3,000+ forum members, 115 respondents is 0.3%, or a third of 01%.

Boy, did this thread ever dull down in a hurry, especially after the image of our gal Pink thumbing thru one of Old What's His Name's Penthouse mags.
C'mon, guys, let's hear the "good" stuff. It's February, I'm in snow up to my a**, and it's zero degrees. Trout season opens in WI in two weeks, and there's not a snowball's chance in hell I'll be busting through drifts to get to a 40 degree stream. Desperately need something to laugh about. gofish |

Pink waggled her finger at us all, & the boys retreated!
The earlier bikini story is probably not outrageous. I was in upstate NY a few years ago, & a pleasant young couple began fishing upriver of me. Both were in full gear--waders, vests, etc. I assumed this was the usual husband & wife duo. They caught nothing & after about 45 minutes, the girl got out of the river, pealed off her waders & stopped undressing when she got to her bikini. She shook out a blanket & promptly laid down in the sun. The husband gave her a big thumbs up. |
