I've kept and still use my Winston IM6 8' 6" 5 wt 3 piece--a really great rod that I'll probably never part with--and a 9' 6" 4 piece
Winston Boron IIx 8 wt for Salmon and Steelies. No more Salmon/Steelies for the latter rod, however, now that I've received my new Mike Brooks
hollow-built 8' 6" 3 piece 7/8 wt. I'll still keep the Winston boron, but relegate it to lake fishing for bass, big trout and the odd pike.

Two Greys Streamflex 4wts, a 8' and a 10'. Wonderful rods, wouldn't want to live/fish without them. Also have an Orvis Frequent Flyer 6wt for when
the situation asks for it. Hasn't been used yet, to be honest.

Three Diamondbacks when they were made in Vermont, two are the early DGS700 series, a 7' 3pc 4wt and an 8'6" 4pc 6wt, very nice medium/fast action
graphite that are good trout rods and travel well. The other is a Backwater 9' three piece 8wt for depth charge lines, used mainly in the bay. Then there
is the 9'6" two piece LL Bean 9/10wt, also for salt though landed several Kings up to 35lbs on it. The last rod is a 8'6" 7wt on a Loomis
blank that is my back up rod for fishing steelies when the water is so cold the guides are icing up.

Two 7 weights, a Sage 13 1/2' two hander and a T & T Horizon 10' - steelheading with bamboo is for masochists
A Sage 490-3 SP, 'cause I just like it
Two el cheapos, either as loaners or for brush busting small creeks where I don't want to risk breaking a cane rod |

Seems like I have one of most every weight and I can' get myself to get rid of any of them. I use them all at some time or other and I'm not one to
keep upgrading (graphites..:-)) so I won't be replacing them. I like them all and use them all, off and on, even in warmwater.
Sage SPL1, 2 and 3...wonderful light trout tools. (Whilst panfishing, the 1wt got me into a 6 1/2 lb. largemouth 2 summers ago. Best fight of my life on any tackle! Lucky I landed her!) And the 2wt was my favorite trout rod before bamboo! It's still a contender. Sage XP 286...for some lightline streamer tossing. Sage SP 390...why I bought those SPL's I'll never know, after fishing this rod some time. It was something to do with length as I recall. This SP is a fine, fine rod! Sage Xi2 890....muskie rod. Loomis FR 963 GL3 ... 8' 3wt, a great panfish rod that took a 4 lb smallmouth topside last summer. Nice tool. Loomis FR 1024 IMX 8'6" 4wt. Loomis FR 1085 IMX 9' 5wt...the 1st fly rod I ever bought. Loomis FR 1086 IMX9' 6wt.....that got me into a 41" muskie by accident. (Not recommended...belly bruises!!!) Loomis FR 10810 GL3 9' 10 wt muskie rod. That's it for fly rods. We'll stay out of the muskie rod closet.....I never considered myself as having too many rods! Now I wonder but I'd have a tough time if asked which I'd get rid of. I use them all. And often. Jeremy.

I keep a graphite Winston LT (5 piece) 8' 3", 4-weight, in reserve for travel when I'm not sure I'll have a chance to fish. Also comes in
handy for bad weather. I took it on a ski trip to Montana, for example, and on several says the weather was unseasonably warm enough to go after trout on the
Flathead River. Also keep a four-piece 8-weight, T and T Helix 9 footer and 9-weight 9' Loomis Cross Current for saltwater. Both are great for travel and
perfect for flats fishing. I'm ready to cross the line and bring bamboo on salt water trips after reading comment on that subject by members of this
board, but haven't gotten there just yet.

I kept a 9' TED SIMROE 9 weight for ocean stripper fishing. Very nice rod with a lot of power. Does very well on Cape Cod.

Still have the first Winston graphite I ever owned. A 3 piece IM6 9' 6wt. Too many good memories in that rod. I have not taken it out of its case in over
two years when I let my brother use it. I have not fished it in more than three years.

Sam Druckman is building graphite rods at the Sweetgrass shop. Sam is a rod designed with experience at Scotts and Winston and now Sweetgrass. Sam is working
on some four piece rods and the tapers are really good. He is also doing some great things with tiptops. More info available at the site. Rods have great
reel seats and cork. The cork is turned on the rods no pre formed grips. Great colors and finish work. IMHO
