Hello All. as the investigation continues... I have found a circa 1929-1930 Heddon rod 9 ft 3/2, some one had put a big featherweight locking seat on. I slid
the big old unit off. and underneath was a walnut spacer. It looks like a barrell for a slide band seat. Sinclair has this rod as illustrated on page 61 with a
slide band seat.(wraps are different) The rod came in Heddon case and velvet bag and tube as per this description. I need the reelseat hardware or a picture.
The rod has ferrules that are all hand made look much like Leonard. The wraps are pale tan no tipping and all hardware is bright. This may have been a
Tournament rod. It feels like a strong 6wt maybe 7 fine tips and pretty fast. If any one has a rod like this or a source for a picture of this type I would
love to hear from them. This is the Highest grade Heddon I have ever seen from the time period. I will try for some photos in the next few days and probably
will need help posting them. There is a glitch in me or the web page that allows me to see photos in my profile but not anyone else. Thanks & Best, Paul
