Marcelo,
your rods are such fine works of art and craftsmanship. How fortunate the person who will own and fish that beauty will be! Thanks for sharing, Howard |

Hi Howard,
I am the very fortunate owner of this rod ( actually its more like my son's future rod). This rod is super tough and designed for extreme fishing on a sea-canoe in very hot, humid, corrosive conditions of seas around Singapore. It is also a portable and light 3pc with bamboo ferrules and hollow-building and it has to have line speed for distance( fast pick-up and power casting), accuracy for shooting into mangrove roots & snags, ability to deal with hard fighting trevally, permit and barramundi that may dive under the canoe ( fool proof joints), and smooth casting to avoid generating ripples. Marcelo and I worked on the design for more than a year when this idea caught his irrepressable passion. What a result! The rod's aesthetics showcases his skill in every aspect of bamboo rod building from canework, proportion, hardware and finish. An amazing rod indeed that will be eventually be part of my son Marcus' personal collection. It was funny to find out just weeks ago when Marcus pointed at my other jaguar rod and said 'Me!'. I check in the internet and found that the name 'Marcelo' meant 'Little Marcus' which is my son's nickname as he is still a 2 years plus kid. This rod has since been named 'Little Marcus' to celebrate this coincidence! Marcus will be starting swimming lessons soon so that he can graduate to sea-canoes and fish this beautiful rod. Thanks again Marcelo my friend! Arthur and Marcus Kuan |

Arthur,
Well I will second my opinion that you are truly fortunate to own such a beautiful rod. I have admired all the rods that Marcello has shared with us and maybe...just maybe someday will be able to order one but in the mean time it is great to know that folks are out there enjoying fishing with them. A showpiece of a rod indeed. My only question is this: How comfortable is the grip?

Real purty, but how does she fish? Just kidding, that is one stunningly beautiful piece of work and as with all of Marcelo's
rods I'm sure it handles a line wonderfully! Congrats to you and young Marcus! Bob |

Friends, thank you very much for the great support.
Arthur, yes was a full year of hard work trying to merge all my Rod Series particularities into one rod "The Little Marcus" and I'm really very proud of it. Paul I can assure you that the wooden grip feels very comfortable but perhaps some another Special Edition owner can share his experience with us. Bob, I´m working into a "casting demonstration video for the CFH806BPJSE, hope I get it finished in the next days.

Marcelo;
What a gorgeous fly rod! Truly a usable work of art. Thank you for sharing the pictures with us! Pat (FFP) "He told us about Christ's disciples being fisherman, and we were left to assume...that all great fishermen on the Sea of Galilee were fly
fisherman and that John, the favorite, was a dry-fly fisherman."

Back in Dakota after four months of winter escape in Arizona, I'm grateful for this thread--and to Marcello and Arthur--for its aesthetic rewards. I
take it as a general principle governing this sport that things keep getting better and better. For sure you guys do. Congratulations to you both.

The rod arrived in pristine condition and I took it out for a swing early morning. The equatorial mayfly hatch was buzzing along nicely but the fish have
wizened up to our tricks. Normally I'd use 3-4wt gear and almost invisible leaders but today I fished 6wt gear to match the rod and managed a few takes but
no hookups. The rod performed flawlessly fishing the leader off the tip and booming out 80ft with limited backcast space. My pals couldn't stop admiring
the level of customisation.. amazing!
Thanks Marcelo, Marcus couldn't wake up or he'd be there with me;-p Arthur |

That grip, more beautiful than any grip--wooden, rattan, or cork--I've seen or used before, is the one Marcelo put on my Special Edition. My hand has
never slipped using it. Marcelo has built non-slip as well as beauty into it. It feels different, but very, very good: you get security and pride
simultaneously.

Marcelo - Do you remember these? _they are my favorite design for ferrule plugs for sure. Hope your well - That 7' 4wt of your roll casts almost as far as
it throws!
