I'd like to list a few things on the classifieds and can upload pics to a folder on my site to host them. Not having done any html for a while, can anyone
advise text for how I may link the pics to the posting?

If you click the insert image icon, look to the left of the box that appears, one of the options is to insert from a URL - Enter the link from you host site.
http://brooksiderod.tripod.com/pics/m2picfront.jpg - this is the reel from you site 
It looks like something is not right with the pic URLs in your for sale post, I can't view them by asting the link to a browser.
