I have a 7'6", 3/2 Robert W. Fridge rod. On one flat is written "R. Fridge-Maker" and on the next flat is written "761611-003".
Does anyone konw anything about the rod or Robert Fridge?

Robert Fridge is a friend of mine whom I have lost contact with. last I know he moved to Texas. Robert was living in Boulder, CO a number of year back (1995
ish) prior to his move to Texas. He took a rod building class from Wayne Cattanach and I helped him along some while he was in Boulder in appreciation he gave
me a 7'6"/2 for a 5 wt, which is a real nice rod. Robert used to build a very nice rod and I hope he is still doing so. I would also like to add that
if he or anyone else who knows where he is reads this, please let me know of his contact information.

vetfly, Since nobody has mentioned it, I could venture a guess at the rod numbers. Sounds like it is a copy of a Dickerson taper - "76" being
7'6" and "16 and 11" being the ferrule sizes (in 64th of an inch), and "-003" indicating that he used the standard taper
subtraction of .003" to drop the rod down one line wt. from the orignial taper. Maybe you're a Dickerson fan and that seemed obvious to you, but just
in case, thought I'd throw that out there.
