That's a lot of taste to account for.
Worst breakfast in America: toast with orange marmalade, and Crest toothpaste. With a whiskey chaser.
(ah, high school...but I digress.)

I remember having breakfast in England consisting of eggs, something like bacon, and black pudding. Everything was OK until I tried the black pudding. I
nearly pu.ked right at the table. A slime remained on the roof of my mouth for the rest of the day, expunged only by some single malt later on.

Anyone eat at that diner in Aztec, NM, while fishing the SJ? Don't know if it's still there, haven't fished the SJ in over a decade -- but me and
pal dropped in to stuff ourselves. We had a full and long day ahead, and we knew it. We both like to eat lots, too.
The menu listed something like 'the Lumberjack breakfast,' something like that. It was six eggs, six strips of bacon, six sausage -- you get the picture. And all the coffee you could drink. We split it. Wasn't the worst of all time, just most memorable. |

i was doing a story on a goose hunt on the chesapeake. On about about 2 hours sleep I stumbled down to the buffet and load up on what looked like a tray of
pork sausage. Unfortunately it was scrapple - all the stuff from a pig that's not fit to make sausage. I can remember the taste (and its not pleasant) to
this day.

could not bring myself to order the brains as a side dish for breakfast in East Tennessee some years ago.

Freestoner, that looks like something that was tucked in the album cover of an old ZZ top LP. Looks scrumptious.

Managed to remember that, did you?
That reminds me, I'm famished. Rockthief, you won't eat brains? They taste just like golden stoneflies. Now, here's a bad meal: that episode of No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain, where he dines with the !Kung Bushmen in the Kalahari Desert. I don't mean to knock the Bushmen- they're peerless hunter-gatherers who chase off lions from their encampments at night without weapons, by waving their hands and shouting at them to step off- but that bunch Bourdain was with? They can't cook. Granted, I've encountered worse myself. The memory is mercifully obscured, though.
