Hi I have recently aquired an almost new LL Bean /GQS 10/12 disc fly reel .It is a big reel that I intend to use with my 15 foot double hander, salmon fishing .I am told that it was probably made by Hardy ,it has Made in England engraved on it .It seems to me to be similar to a Hardy Marquis disc ,exposed rim and similiar looks .Enquiries to Hardy did not produce much that was positive .I am interested ,if my reel was based on an English model as this could be useful given the recent changes in the Hardy set up and the shortage of spares for their reels ,which is likely to get worse.If anyone has any info that they would be willing to share ,I would very much appreciate a reply .I find it hard to believe that Hardy,s would develop a special model for LL Bean if they had anything to do with it at all.Thank you in anticipation .
