Posts: 24 12/08/2008 16:35	Tags : None I bought a baby trout Bogdan reel set up for right hand wind but would like to switch it to left hand retrieve. I'm pretty handy with small tools and have some mechanical dexterity as well. Can anyone email me instructions along with pictures on how to do this as I don't like shipping reels through the mail and risking loss or damage if possible. Posts: 2212 12/08/2008 18:46 Moderator	Gary - I've been on a short trip to meet the makers....ala Bogdans and Doc Hermann, and as I type this am unexpectedly in Manchester NH because of weather in Chicago. To convert a Bogdan trout or steelhead model from RHW to LHW, carefully remove the 4 screws on the handle side (and keep track of which scre came from which hole), then remove the screw holding the bottom of the horseshoe. Flip the metal horseshoe plate and reinstall the screw. And......you've just converted your Bogdan to LHW NOTE: Do NOT remove the back plate of a 3 or 4 wt trout or the spring will pop out and likely fly across the room which is No GOOD..... Make sure you use the proper width screw driver and you'll be fine.....
