It's all relative. When you print a gazillion more dollar bills, Brit pounds, German marks, Swiss francs, etc, then everything else that's not made of easy print paper goes up in price. At least that's what my guess is. Bob |

I've been reading all the responses on changing agate line guides; and in particular, changing the original color to red. Personally, I would
never change the original color of the line guide that was originally installed on the reel. Yes, if it was a 1906 check Perfect that many came with red
agates, that might be another story. I've been collecting Hardy's for over 20 yrs and always try to keep all components original if possible. If you
never plan to resell a reel and want to fish one with a different color line guide, I can understand that. Yes, I think the red agates look great, also, but
not on reels that never had one. The one exception might be the later Perfects with the ugly plastic lineguides - any agate LG would look better. But I
don't like post WWII Hardys anyway except for the LRH and Marquis series which are very fishable on glass, plastic, and some cane rods.

I love em all,, don't get me wrong,, but anyone want to put $20 on when a 2008 model Perfect breaks the $1000 mark on the used tackle circuit? 10, 20, 30
years? In todays world with so many options i just don't see an overpriced gamble like this model meeting with much success. I think,, now just my opinion
here,, that they will mimic the LOOP Classic and rarely sell for half of what the MSRP was. Well it is a Perfect so maybe $700 on the used market.
