Planning to list this Pflueger Medalist 1494 with round line guard. Mechanically great, but has obviously had the finish removed/worn off. Screw holding
internal spring buggered but secure. Thanks for any help as to approximate value.

IMO, it's going to be $75 - $100.
Since the reel parts were stamped from fine-textured, wrought sheet, they take to a good repaint job fairly well. There are a couple of successful tinkerers on the fiberglassflyrodders board who may be interested.
the rods are never obsolete - the marketing is.
