I have been asked by a friend to help liquidate 2 bamboo rods. The first is an Orvis Adirondack Battenkill, 7 1/2 ft, 2 piece, 2 tip 5wt in excellent, mint
condition. It carries the "A type" reel seat. Original bag and tube included.
The second rod is a Walton Powell, 7-2, 8-2, 5wt. It is actually a 8 ft, 2 piece rod with a second butt that when mated with the tip sections, creates a staggered ferrule 7 foot rod. It has the original bag and tube, in mint condition.
Both rods were purchased by an avid fly fisher that became very ill before the rods could be put to use. They have been in a gun safe since, about 10 years. I have been asked to help sell them.
Suggestions as to value would be appreicated. Both rods were purchased new from the manufacturer and have seen little or no use, based on appearances. Setting a fair price is the goal. Your help, even if only a ball-park guess would be greatly appeciated.
