yeah, I bought these thinking they were black. I kind of like the green. Do you think the fish will agree?

I think the fish will agree. Very few things in nature are truly black - most are shades of dark greens, browns, and reds. I'm guessing you might be
surprised just how well the fish take them.

I doubt it will matter. I select a lot of colors while tying very small as "light" or "dark" and the fish don't seem to mind. Most
bugs are a shade of olive anyway, with black being really, really, really dark olive. :-)
Fishing with bait is like swearing in church.

actually I believe blue is the only color fish can distinguish from the rest of their monochrome world, but the color does affect how it reflects light, or natural it looks in the background. I think that's a great color bead and a good-looking midge.

When fish start getting THAT picky, I'll hang up my flyrod and get out my old dive mask, snorkel, fins and speargun. I seem to recall, the critter's
only got a brain the size of a pencil eraser.
