It's so odd to discuss computers and classic tackle, two totally different things, both compliment each other yet the knowledge base is completely different. You have no idea what it takes to run a forum site for years unless you have the experience. Change is constant as far as the internet goes, it's the one thing you can count on. The guys who are in charge here have a huge responsibility, I wish them well.

Hi Adam,
Not sure where you're coming from, but I appreciate your helpful comments. I've designed, built, run and administered a half dozen web sites in the last decade. I also moderate two very active scientific sites--one with more than 3,000 members. So I have some sense of what I'm saying. Regardless, my comments are intended to be constructive only, and I would assume your comments are identical. Please feel free to send me a PM on anything you've got that's critical or constructive, but I'm not sure there's much to be gained by writing, "It is ridiculous to discribe what this forum is about." In fact, I think it is entirely appropriate to describe the forum's purposes--I said nothing negative or contrary in describing the Forum's mission, and I also affirmed Banjo's wonderful stewardship. But if you want to pursue this, just email me directly. Thanks. Pat |

Public is fine Pat. I think I've heard it best, "preaching to the choir" Fly fishing web site experience is what I am referencing but it does not
matter what I think, you got it covered. Time to retreat to my own little spot, about 50 semi-active members and trying to keep it small and cozy, sort of like
the places I like to fish. I can't stand fishing a really crowded spot, but sometimes it's fun to go to the fly fishing fair. Later.
