let's see your vintage reel boxes/cases |

I don't have many modern reels but it seems no one is using quality cardboard for their boxes anymore. Maybe I just can't afford the newer quality
reels. Most of my new reels come in flimsy grayboard though my Kineya box is nice it is very large for the size of the reel -- i.e., not a custom box. I
like the leather/suede cases too, both modern and vintage. My pleather (plastic leather) cases don't do much for me.

baunvivant, at first I didn't think this thread was going to draw my attention. Man, was I wrong! I have nothing as cool as what others have already posted
but I sure hope to get more of this visual stimulation.
If this starts me down another path of addiction and ruination, I'm gonna find you. LOL. and yes, I agree 100%, they don't make these containers like they used to, with the exception of a very few, boutique high end makers. Thanks for starting this thread. Regards, Tom |

Thanks, Gents....those are cool looking cases and boxes.....
Hey Tom, there are so many vintage reels I see in books of all walks of life -- but I hardly ever see boxes. Always a curiosity of mine. I hope others will share! Thanks again Matt |
