another genius idea from nackymoo |

how about this , you come home from the days fishing and put your weapon of choice into this , it means you can leave your rod set up all season , its very
handy if you fish every day like me , plus you dont have to take the rod apart every time you come home , and it keeps it safe

How do you uncurl the rod after you get it out of the hose?

That's not a hose..that's a home-made line dryer with a 70wt level taper line on it.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but can we focus in a slightly different direction for a moment? Does that line come in a natural/straw color as well?
I find that green is sometimes harder to see when it floats on the surface.

ha ha very funny , the hose just happens to be below the rod holder , albeit , i suppose i could use it to store my lines over the winter ..good idea , ..think
about it , sort ur rod out at the start of the season , and u never have to dismantle it until the end of the season!! , plus it puts it out of harms way!!

look closer , there is my garden hose which is nothing to do with my fishing whatsoever and above that is where i store my ready - to - go -rods in a safe
secure place , easy to come & go..

All it's missing is a " Danger High Voltage" sticker on it and it would be burglar proof too.

I sure hope you are not leaving cane rods or nice reels outside in that thing! That could be a disaster waiting to happen. I could see it being beneficial if
I lived on a stream and just used it to store non valuable equipment for quick access.

Probably not so great for NS ferrules, but I could be wrong | #12 | ||
|
I'd be worried they would oxidize together and not want to come apart. Splice joints...no problem. One piece...no problem. (Although...it's not
vertical so you might be asking for sets). But 2pc with metal ferrules and you might have issues. C

nackymoo,
WOW!! I'm puttin' one of those on my Christmas list, but I want the optional line dryer, with the 70 wt. line thrown in. Will that cost extra??? Green line is O.K. for me. I fish some deep, murky water with my 70 wt. gear. Ever caught a 6 foot sturgeon on a fly, from a kayak? . . . Rex TheMontyMan |

I want one of the line dryers also, but not with the 'Perfect' pattern holes.
Can you get them more like a Bougle - with raised pillars and in a polished (or leaded finish) would be nice rather than that grey paint. There is probably a specialist market for ones with a red insert on the hose guide and a 'D' stamped inside. Brilliant idea - you could be onto something here Nacky. |

Ken, I don't know if it would infringe Mr Moos idea but I could get you a "Spitfire" line dryer knocked together.
I'll keep my eyes open for a Chromed alloy wheel hub. |

Brian - Thanks for the offer but I think I will hold out for one in the raised pillar style.

Nacky, this post has got to be a joke. Anyone who would put any fishing pole in that contraption really should not be fishing, imho only. Then again, one can
do whatever they wish with their toys. Please, nackymoo, tell us all it ain't so!!
