Ok...I've been visiting this site for over a year & picked up a lot of good info. Thanks to all for hosting such a great site. I'm not a PC geek
& haven't yet figured out how to post pics, but I'll give a description & hope for the best. This is a Kingfisher 8 1/2 3/1 I got on the
unspoken auction about 2-3 years ago. The cane is medium to dark brown. The butt has a slow (but deffinate) swell, not like my Heddon or Leonards. On the shaft
is writen "Classic X114" in white ink (like my Edwards quads,...going away from the grip.) Kingfisher label w/bird looking left 98% in tact.Wraps
look a soft, light purple(ish) w/ivory whips. There are 3 sig. wraps on the shaft above the decal at 41/2, 61/4 & 73/4 in. above the grip. The purple whips
are on all 3 sections. The butt has one silver looking stripping guide, the mid has only 2 blued snake guides, and only three on the tip. Ring type hook keep,
metal winding ck, & wells style grip. The down locking screw style reel seat looks just like the Redwing, except with a teak/mahogany spacer. The ferrules
are nice quality NS & pinned. The females are straight(no steps) and each set has 3 rings turned into it. To me this looks like a Monty, but, the wraps
are super nice!! The ferrules look like S Bend. All orig. w/only nicks in the varnish. I haven't fished it yet but it flexes like a 5-6 wt. Any info is
welcome. Thanks
