Ft Collins mid-May |

My wife and I will be in Ft Collins for a week-end in mid May. Never fished there. Anybody care to offer recommendations on locations (Big T is most obvious)
and flies, speculate on conditions at that time? Already have plans to taste some Fat Tire ale straight out of the keg, (nearly)... Thanks, Lee

Lee,
The Cache la Poudre river outside of Fort Collins can be really good, but might be in runoff. If it is, the Big T above the town of Drake will probably hold clear. The closer to Estes Park you get, the clearer. North Park is a great option too, a bit further of a drive, but can be really good. Don't forget the O'dell's Brewery too. They have a tap room and their 90 Shilling is every bit as good (if not better) than Fat Tire. Cheers, Jay |

Hi Lee
Wife (fishing partner) and I spent a couple of days fishing the Poudre last October. Feel free to PM me. I'll be glad to provide what help I can about the river, lodging, dining, etc. I can.

Lee,
Call John Oppenlander and ask him as he would probably join you and play sort of guide Jeff |

Thanks Guys! Jay E: I need to talk with you sometime about North park - I've been there a couple times, but I must not know how or where, because it
hasn't been good for me... Jay H: Thanks for the reminder about Odells! Dave: I'll PM Jeff: I hadn't known John lives there. Once I get schedule
straightened out, I'll see about contacting him. I hear he has a new rod to fish, much thanks to you! Lee
